Today I pretty much spent the whole day at work making sure that everything was off of my old work laptop and properly found a home on my new laptop. I think I shut it down at the end of the day for the last time...hooray. Not that I like the security settings on my new laptop, but if they want to fire me for having personal crap on it...let them. I'm one of the longest standing employees in my group remaining and they'd probably double my salary if I told them I was leaving, but told them I'd stay for double. Not too shabby of a position to be in.
Got a really awesome bonus on Friday...not sure if I mentioned that. I think I'm going to buy a small flatscreen for my office at the new house and one for our bedroom with it. Definitely makes the house money going out the door a lot easier.
Alex just had a pretty terrible night terror. Most of the time she just does rolls and flails around while she's having a bad one, but this one she 1/2 stood up and was sitting on her knees crying and then threw herself around and back onto the bed. So sad to watch...drains any remaining ounce of energy I had.
When I was pregnant with Alex, I think I had about 20 total maternity shirts, 5 pairs of work pants, and 1 pair of jeans. I pretty much didn't gain a lot of weight early so I could make due with everything I had and tended to wear things on the bigger side anyways, so a lot of my normal shirts fit while I was pregnant. My neighbor just had her son and is determined that she won't be having another, so she gave me all of her maternity clothing. There was an extra bag of shirts that probably had 20 shirts alone in it...and that was sitting on top of TWO big storage bins...one of shirts and one of pants. Holy crap...I remember what that stuff cost and it isn't cheap. She basically quadrupled my maternity wardrobe and then some! I'm incredibly appreciative and told her I'm holding onto all of it to give back to her when she changes her mind and wants to try for a girl :)
